Set in the valley formed by
the river Moracha, the monastery of the same name is surrounded by some
of the most beautiful mountains in Europe. Founded in the 11th century,
the church has some of the finest frescos in Montenegro, including those
illustraing the life of St Nicholas. Fr Raphael, the abbot, is always
pleased to see visitors, and if you have brought your own beer, there's
a mountain stream to cool them in.
