Pray for the needs of the Church within the Holy Land. Gather-up the pain, emotion, anger and injustice of all things into the arms of the Holy Mother; that she may consol her suffering children as she holds the Church before the Father - as once she held the vulnerable humanity of the saviour at Bethlehem, felt his pain on the way of sorrows and at his execution on Calvary. Gather all things into the love of God. Gather-up the Anglican Church scattered in the towns and villages of the Holy Land into the arms of the Holy Mother; that the imagery we see in the media, may be an icon-focus for prayer, unity and peace - as once she walked from Bethlehem to Nazareth, from Nazareth to Jerusalem; as once she beheld the beauty of God in the smells and sights of the Holy Land. Gather all things into the love of God. Gather-up endings into new beginnings; gather-up conflict into peace; bring it all to the heart of Christ. Pray for a new peace for Jerusalem; a peace in heart, community, village and town - as once she felt the changing joy-healing of Christ's resurrection; making all thing new. Gather all things into the love of a God made flesh, made vulnerable, made real. Gather-up Bishop Riah, and those to be ordained to the Diaconate and Priesthood to serve the Anglican Church in the Holy Land - who serve a God made flesh, made vulnerable and made real in the breaking of bread.
